Module 1 – Introduction to Dental Implants “The New Standard of Care for the General Practitioner” – Cleveland Venue * extra day added * 21 hours CE

CE Credit Hours:

  • May 17, 2018 - May 19, 2018
    7:30 am - 5:00 pm

No prior experience with implants is required.

This course is typically a 2 day course. For this date, a third day has been added for extra value.

Participating doctors will gain a broad understanding of the scope of academic, clinical, surgical, and business skills required to integrate dental implant placement into a dental practice and the motivation to do so.

This three day course is designed for the student-doctor and TEAM who wants to introduce themselves to both the surgical and restorative phases of dental implants.  Patient selection, site selection, treatment planning, critical anatomic structures, and surgical placement protocols for implant systems are presented and discussed.  Doctor participation includes dry technique typodont implant placement, and suturing techniques.  To “bring it all together” at the end of the course, live surgeries are performed on IV sedated patients.

This course will include lecture, slides, and video presentations of the techniques learned, and “hands on” exercises on dry typodonts to reinforce those techniques. Observation of live surgeries suggests clinical attire (scrubs) for the third day.  Bringing Loupes and accompanying illumination is recommended as ambient lighting may not be adequate.
